Weekly Meme: Book Blogger Hop: 3/18-3/21

Book Blogger Hop

Here’s my third time to join the Book Blogger Hop (via Crazy For Books blog) Thought this would be a good opportunity for me to connect with other book lovers out there in cyberspace 🙂 The Hop lasts Friday-Monday so there’ll be plenty of time to check the other participating blogs out!

So here’s the question of the week:

“Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?”

My answer:

I try to read only one book at a time since I don’t want to get confused about characters and plots (since I do write reviews). But sometimes, when I’m reading a really exciting story with lots of action, I prefer to have another book that’s a bit slower to read at bedtime. I like being able to sleep well, so I make sure not to bring the too exciting stuff (that’s sure to keep me up at night!) to bed with me. So, I guess the short answer is that I’ve been known to read two books at the same time.

Looking forward to blog-hopping this weekend! 🙂

(p.s. If it’s your first time to visit my blog, please have a look around especially if you read digital books. I post a lot of (legal) freebies that I find here)

Thanks for stopping by today. I agree. It’s better if books are all different from one another if you have to read more than one at a time.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, yours looks great! I love having different books for different moods like your bedtime read. The only problem is I’ve got one book that’s pretty depressing that I’ve now managed to drag out for two months because the other books I’m reading are always so much more fun. I’m determined to finish it though!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m the complete opposite of you–I love reading several books at the same time!

    Happy hop!

    Hi,
Thanks for the hop through. I’m sure you don’t remember everyone you’ve hopped through but you left me a comment stating you weren’t too impressed with the Ice Princess. I’m not either and I’m having a really hard time trying to finish it in time for the blog tour.
And you left me a comment about trying to write while I read – actually it is REALLY helpful – my most difficult part about writing is descriptions – I am right there when it comes to dialogues but I find that my descriptions seem to be redundant. I love to see how other authors do it!
    Again,
    Thanks for the hop through!
I have added you to my blog roll!

Well, that’s good that you get inspiration from what you read 🙂 Thanks for visiting back!

Supposedly, the books after Ice Princess is better. So, I might give that author another chance.

Thanks for visiting my blog yesterday. I like what you’re doing with the Kindle book bargins.
